IN AN AREA SMALLER THAN A SQUARE MILE AND BORDERED BY RAVENSCOURT PARK, HAMMERSMITH GROVE, GOLDHAWK ROAD AND GLENTHORNE ROAD IS THE APTLY NAMED BRACKENBURY VILLAGE.
A small and very pretty residential area, Brackenbury Village is understated elegance at its best. Charming artisan cottages, smart Victorian terraces and substantially larger family homes occupy the tree lined roads. At the heart of the community is a little cluster of shops that would rival any local high street. Restaurants, gastro pubs, a butcher, deli, post office, hairdresser and hardware store ensure that residents have no need to step out of their village for everyday conveniences. There is a very strong sense of community which is further supported by the dynamic Residents’ Association.
Most of Brackenbury Village lies within the Bradmore Conservation Area which adjoins Ravenscourt Park and Starch Green Conservation area. Particularly popular with residents is Ravenscourt Park, one of the flagship parks in the Royal Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The park offers many facilities including cafes, tennis and basketball courts, a bowling green, an all-weather pitch, a walled garden, multiple play areas, paddling pool with beach for children and garden centre. One of the largest firework displays in London is held there every Bonfire’s Night.
