Kensington Olympia Festival of Music and the Arts at St Matthew’s CHURCH, promoting the wealth of talent in our neighbourhood and providing an opportunity to bring our diverse locality together in a love of music and the arts. Each night there will be an event, in the beautiful Victorian parish church of St Matthew, Kensington Olympia, at the junction of Masbro, Sinclair and Fielding Roads, W14, Starting on the 12th September to the 20th September 2015.

Every day there will be a full programme of activities to include art exhibitions, school events, architectural walks, a literary talk, poetry, a cookery demonstration, and an all-day pop-in for light refreshments.The midweek highlight will be a sparkling candlelit gala dinner in the church with entertainment from The Lallemant Trio – resident jazz ensemble at the Chelsea Sketch Club. Dancing in the aisles!

The opening concert is the monumental Bach Mass in B Minor, and the festival closes with a come-and-sing Faure Requiem and Gala concert performance directed by acclaimed conductor Jeremy Summerly.Along the way there will be Songs from the Shows, a Night at the Movies, piano music, a guitar recital, and a programme of Brahms and Mendelssohn chamber works.
