Wow! What a team, what an extraordinary effort, what a fantastic amount of money raised! The Finlay Brewer gang absolutely excelled themselves last weekend with every single one of them completing the gruelling 11 mile obstacle laden event. Twenty six obstacles stood between our initially nervous team and the finish line including ice-baths, electric shock fields, walls with ‘comforting’ names like Everest, monkey bars over freezing water and a LOT of hills, steep hills! The sun was out but the temperature was low and with little time for the ‘Warmer Tents’ that had been set up, the team completed the course in 5 hours …… 5 hours of facing fears, hilarity, pushing, pulling and, of course, mud mud mud. Afterwards, it was time to celebrate with pizza, beer, burgers, cider and much more hilarity. Relief, happiness and extraordinarily a full team of people saying they would do it again! Total respect to you all Bryony, Mike, Jon, Sophie, Joseph, Viktoria, Holly, Stephen, Andrew and Dina ……

The team raised, and continue to raise, a fantastic amount of money for the fabulous Macmillan Cancer Centre – £2,803.17 so far. Based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, this award-winning outfit has been open to the public since 2003 and aims to support the cancer patient and their family throughout every stage of their cancer journey. If you haven’t donated and would like to show your support for both the efforts of the team and more importantly for the Macmillan Cancer, please go to www.justgiving.com/finlay-brewer-team. Every single pound makes a difference!
